With consideration to the safety and health of our residents, regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Township of Clearview has decided to suspend all non-essential municipal operations, effective immediately.
“The protection of the Public and our staff is my focus during this extraordinary crisis threatening our community. Our Emergency Operations Team met today and decided to implement drastic changes to the operation of our public services.” Mayor Doug Measures said.
As a result, facilities in Clearview Township such as the libraries, arenas, youth centre, and the 7 Small Halls, are closed and all programs and rentals have been suspended. Township departments will provide refunds where applicable. Please view the chart below or contact the Township for further details.
The Municipal Administration Centre will remain operational at this time. Clearview Public Works, Public Transit and the Clearview Fire & Emergency Service will continue operations however, no public access to works buildings or Fire halls will be permitted. All tours of Fire halls are cancelled. Staff will be on-site and accessible during regular business hours.
As the COVID-19 Pandemic continues, additional service delivery changes may occur. All further service delivery announcements will be communicated through the township website, www.clearview.ca and on Twitter, @Clearview_twp.
The Clearview leadership team continues to meet regularly and communicate with the Mayor.
Township staff are in regular contact with the County of Simcoe and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. We are taking direction from them regarding best practices to ensure the health and safety of our employees and community.
