Mayor Doug Measures is proud to proclaim April as Be a Donor Month in Clearview. Every year in April Ontarians are encouraged to show their support for organ and tissue donation by registering to become a donor and celebrating Be a Donor Month.
Did you know that you are five times more likely to need an organ than to donate one? And that more than 1,600 men, women and children in Ontario are waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant?
With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting communities all over the world, it seems more important than ever to make sure that we all work together towards the health and well-being of our fellow citizens.
The proclamation is being honoured with a flag hosted at the Emergency Hub and Fire Administration Centre on Highway 26 in Stayner.
