Clearview Township is delighted to announce the 2024 Culture & Sports Hall of Fame Award Winners, honoured at the Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony at the Stayner Community Centre on June 11, 2025.
Fellow community members nominated the award recipients for making a positive impact on the sports and cultural community in Clearview in nine distinct categories.
Mayor Doug Measures was pleased to recognize Clearview’s outstanding community members, “I am thrilled to extend congratulations to those who have been inducted into the Culture and Sports Hall of Fame. Your dedication, passion, and achievements not only enrich our community but also inspire future generations to reach for greatness.”
Awards were presented to the following recipients by Clearview Township Mayor Doug Measures, and Master of Ceremonies, Arianna Swietlinkski:

- Young Leader in Sport – Benjamin Martin
- Builder Award – Janice Bigham
- Builder Award – Julie Bigham
- Builder Award – Frank Bednarek
- Artistic Achievement Award – Helen Blackburn
- Athletic Achievement Award – Bob Lowe
- Community Volunteer Award – Todd Patton
- Community Volunteer Award – Michelle Hussey
- Community Volunteer Award – Gord Hussey
- Festival & Event Award – 8th Annual Clearview Tulip Days Festival
- Team Award – U18 Rep (2023) Clearview Canucks
And, introducing a new recognition for the Lifetime Contributions to Community Award. The Lifetime Contributions to Community Award recognizes individuals who have resided in Clearview Township for a minimum of 10 years within the categories of sport and culture. Having demonstrated athletic prowess, artistic achievements, establishing youth organizations and outstanding volunteerism, the winners have dedicated their time and passion to make a significant impact. In other words, without these individuals, Clearview residents would not have the experiences and opportunities today.

The legacy awards are on display in the atrium of the Stayner Community Centre and Stayner Branch of the Clearview Public Library. In addition, the Hall of Fame kiosk recognizes current and past members of the Clearview Hall of Fame and welcomes visitors to learn more about the outstanding contributions of community members.
