Beginning on August 11th, residents will see playground equipment updates at parks throughout Clearview Township. As part of the 2025 budget, Clearview is investing $100,000 towards playground equipment, improvements and repairs at seven parks, with a focus on adding smaller play items.
Updates will begin at the New Lowell Recreation Park, McKean Park and Legion Park. The New Lowell Recreation Park will see the installation of new swings for children and toddlers, an accessible swing, a new teeter-totter, spring toys, plus some minor safety improvements and repairs. Smaller equipment will be installed at McKean Park and Legion Park.
Playground equipment at Gowan Park, Ives Park, Centennial Park and Nottawa Ball Park will be installed next. Equipment for these parks has been ordered, and an installation date is upcoming.
Please do not disturb the contractors while the playground equipment is being installed. To report maintenance issues or concerns, please email the Clearview Parks & Recreation Department at clearviewrec@clearview.ca or call and leave a message at 705-428-6013 ext. 1.
