Clearview Township continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic by taking direction from the Ontario Government, the County of Simcoe and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
On May 19, 2020, it was announced by the Office of the Premier that, “the government is permitting the reopening of some outdoor recreational amenities, including outdoor sports facilities and multi-use fields, off-leash dog areas, and outdoor picnic sites, benches and shelters in parks and recreational areas, effective as of Tuesday, May 19, 2020. Outdoor playgrounds, play structures and equipment, fitness equipment, public swimming pools, splash pads and similar outdoor water facilities will remain closed until later stages of the province's reopening plan.”
Clearview Township is committed to maintaining the health and safety of its residents and employees first and foremost. As such, Clearview recreational locations will be re-opened to the public only when they have met all health and safety guidelines. We appreciate your patience as we work towards re-opening safely.
As of May 21, 2020, Clearview Parks are open to the public for non-team sports activities, while playground equipment, washrooms and changerooms remain closed. The Clearview Dog Park will re-open on May 22, 2020.
Residents are encouraged to enjoy the fresh air responsibly by staying home if you are unwell, maintaining physical distancing of at least 2 meters from members outside of your household and washing your hands regularly.
