The pre-consultation process is confidential, and this form is the first step to determining the application requirements for your project. It is an opportunity to describe all the information relating to your development proposal.
This form must be completed if you are pursuing development that will require any of the following changes:
- Zoning Changes (Minor Variance / Zoning By-law Amendment)
- Lot Creation (Consent / Draft Plan of Subdivision / Draft Plan of Condominium)
- Policy Changes (Official Plan Amendment)
- Construction or Alteration of a Site (Site Plan Approval)
Based on the information in this form, Planning Staff will provide you with a response which will outline the next steps for your application, and detail the items (plans, studies, and fees) required to be considered a complete application.
Filling in this form is free of charge. A complete application will require payment of fees, as described in the response from Planning Staff. Up-to-date fees can be found in the Fees and Charges By-law. A complete pre-consultation application for Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, Draft Plan of Subdivision/Condominium, or Site Plan Approval requires payment of the Pre-Consultation Fee(s) and applicable Engineering Review Fees.
